Edge has arrived [App Store].Edge

For those of you who haven’t already heard of it, Edge is an arcade game for the iPhone which involves moving around a colorful cube across many pitfalls and obstacles in an out-of-this-world world from point A to point B. You can use either the accelorometer or the touch controls, and I daresay the latter is better. It puts you in an isometric environment with many puzzles to solve. The environment is dynamic, with many moving platforms and switches which further modify the environment. The game is quite hard, but also forgiving. When you fall off the stage, the game resumes at a point very near to where you fell off. The sound is awesome! The game has 13 original tracks. The sound effects are superb and go great with the game!

The $5.99 platformer certainly catches the eye at first sight. Within moments of playing it, I began to like it immediately. The game is more of an arcade game than a puzzle game. Edge won the Milthon award for Best Mobile Game of 2008 at the Festival du Jeu Video, Paris and is nominated for the Excellence in Gameplay award at the International Mobile Gaming Award competition.

Be sure to check out the gameplay video. And I’m sure the next application you’ll open is iTunes!
